“My name is Jason Goodin. I am the Field Marketing Manger for Red Bull up here in Michigan. Your boats look fantastic; we’d love to have a Red Bull branded boat.” Jason Goodin “It was great speaking with you today; we are excited to build a working relationship with you and your company. Check out our program at www.broneah.com, as I told you, we are the largest kiteboarding shop and school in the Midwest, hosting instructional camps all summer and winter season in Michigan, with spring camps in Puerto Rico. After checking out your product, there is no doubt that it would not only work perfect for our sport, but we believe people up here in Northern Michigan would be really attracted to the Dux style. As for the Redbull event, we would like to have one of your boats on site to be used for a rescue vehicle. We could also have one of your boats on display parked in the lot at the event and we could keep a boat there on display and in the water the entire time for people to see. Again, we are really looking forward to working with you.” Matt Myers “For four summers now I have been using my Dux Hammerhead 13’ inflatable with a Mercury 25 HP motor as a pickup boat for kiteboarding on the Columbia River, which is one of the best and most popular kiteboarding venues in the U.S. The boat serves several functions: First, it allows me to take one or two kiteboarders at a time to a safer launch site than the public sites that are becoming increasingly overcrowded and dangerous. Second, it allows me to monitor and even coach beginning kiteboarders from a safe and practical upwind position. Third, it allows me to pick up and sometimes rescue kiteboarders who suffer equipment breakdowns, when the wind dies or becomes too strong, or when the kiteboarder sails too far downwind to sail back or walk back along the shore, or when the kiteboarder sails into a dangerous or environmentally protected area. The Hammerhead easily accommodates two adult kiteboarders each with board and kite, plus me the driver. I have on occasion rescued three adolescent kiteboarders at one time. I have several times been picked up while kiteboarding by a waverider, and I can tell you that the Hammerhead is far superior. It is difficult to balance on the back of a waverider while holding one’s kite and board with one arm/hand and at the same time trying with the other arm/hand to hold onto the hand rail or driver. In addition to being uncomfortable, the waverider must be driven slowly to avoid a spill, while the Hammerhead can be driven fairly fast. I’m actually proud of the fact that I bought the Hammerhead in 2000 before I started kiteboarding, anticipating, correctly as it turns out that it would be the ideal boat for this purpose based on its stable platform. I have not been disappointed, and the many kiteboarders I have picked up or rescued have bought me a lot of beers!” Dean Anderson “I am quite interested in your product line. I remember seeing something on TV about these “Dux” boats and I was very impressed. It was some time ago and I could not remember the name. However, I was at my cottage recently and my neighbor had one of your boats in his driveway. I quickly went to see him and ask where he got it. He said that he was in Africa and had it shipped home when he came back. I asked him where I could get one and he didn't know, but he would not ever sell his. I am a full-time firefighter and I also own a training company that specializes in water rescue. We have been teaching water rescue for the past 10 years and have trained hundreds of fire and police personnel all over the province of Ontario, Canada… When I saw your boat, I thought of the possibilities...” Brian K. Simms The fire department that we did the demo for called me today. Zodiac was in today with a hundred thousand dollar boat to sell to the fire department. The deputy chief and all his men agreed that there was no contest, Dux Rescue Boats are better in every way for fire service and that is what they are going to get. Canadian Distributors “As the owner of a small business, I always appreciate getting feedback on our products and services. I am sure that you are the same way, which is why I am writing you this letter. I am the owner of a rescue training company that has been training Police departments and Fire departments for the last 13 years. Occasionally, a new product comes along that provides a paradigm shift in the way that we do business. Your Dux rescue boat is one of those products. While other boats are o.k., we have found the Dux rescue boat to be the best rescue boat that we have ever used. Its exceptional stability in rough water provides a rescue platform that gives you complete confidence in your own safety, which is one thing you should never need to worry about. With a huge payload capacity, we are never overwhelmed by multiple casualty situations. Combined with the incredible speed that this boat delivers, even with a small outboard motor, facilitating an effective rescue is the usual outcome, rather than just a body recovery. With our own lives on the line every day that we enter the water, we are very picky about the boats that we use, and therefore, although we can use any boat out there, we will only be using the "Dux" from now on. My hat goes off to you, the manufacturer of the Dux rescue boat, it has made our job of water rescue just that much safer.” John W. Innis (Letter from Mercury Outboards to all Mercury Dealers)
